Mardi Himal Base Camp - 10 Days

Mardi Himal Base Camp

“Snaking towards Mardi Himal’s Lap”

#3 of 6 things to do in Annapurna Region

Spectacularly situated at the base of Mardi Himal and the impressive Machapuchhre Mardi Himal base camp is a destination where only few foreigners have taken notice of. Walk through the ridge and the feeling that one can could literally climb the Mardi Himal is quite unusual but in a good sense. As one makes way through the forested Forest Camp a rocky mountainous terrain welcomes them. The spontaneous change in hovering clouds at the High Camp, the Spectacular Machhapuchhre Himal playing and hide and seek and the view of your destined trail ridge towards Mardi Himal base camp signals a sense of challenge and an excitement at the same time. This is probably the only opportunity to come so close and face to face with the ever talked about the magnificent Machhapuchhre Himal, Mardimal Himal and its vicinity. Despite being a relatively new trek the trails are clearly marked and well maintained.
